ABOUT
Welcome to the Pennsylvania Energy News Board and thank you for visiting with us. The PA ENB helps you stay on top of all of the latest energy news inside the Keystone State.
The ENB project began as a collaborative Web 2.0 experiment in 2010, and is now solely owned and operated by Matthew Spilman.
While moonlighting as a new media technology consultant for small businesses and independent contractors, Matt began teaching fellow techies and energy enthusiasts how to leverage Web 2.0, social media, and online marketing applications for both business and personal use.
Through a collaborative learning approach, Matt then created the ENB to provide students with a live online creative workspace to develop new skills outside of the classroom, and to gain practical experience using social media.
Matt graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and has collected over a decade of experience in the energy industry across two different energy companies.
He has held technical positions in systems and database administration, information management and data analytics, market research, and government and regulatory affairs. Matt holds a certificate in professional coaching from Duquesne’s School of Leadership and Professional Advancement, and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute in Newton Square, PA.
Matt spends his free time traveling, consulting, learning, writing, teaching, drumming up wild lifestyle experiments, and studying web technology. He is a self-confessed live music addict, photography lover, and turkey sandwich fanatico. He also enjoys teaching about modern day web trends, and how to successfully network, communicate, brand, and market in today’s fast-paced information age.
Matt invites you to join and help further the collaborative and educational spirit of community that the ENB was founded on. Most of all, he hopes that you’ll have some fun, learn something new, and perhaps even enjoy the journey along the way.
“Cheers!” – Matt
